I. About ACE
Sports have never been a priority in the scheme of things in our country. Over the years we have produced brilliant individual sportspersons who by their achievements have left an indelible mark in the international arena. Such sporting heroes are numbered .Collectively; however as a nation we have not been able to make any impact .Our performances in Olympics is a case in point. The reasons are obvious. We have not imbibed the sports culture. Our systems do not support such a culture. If this has to change, it is imperative that citizens take up cudgels on behalf of sports and sportspersons. A mass movement needs to be unleashed.
ACE SPORTS ASSOCIATION is a small step towards that movement. The Association is a group of 40 odd individuals from different strata of society, with profession of their own, but bound together by love and passion for sports. The driving force is a single-minded desire to make a difference to the existing state of affairs. In this endeavour the wholehearted support from Corporate Houses, Business Enterprises. Clubs, philanthropists and sports lovers is the need of the hour.
II. Vision
Develop world class sporting minds from the lower starta of society and mould them into international sports icons in the coming years. ACE would be a self-sustaining organization that models fair competition and competitive excellence. ACE provides for every talent to be the best in his/her chosen spports.Devolop a world class infrastructure to train/guide/nurture sporting talents/ and also provide them a basic providing education. An ACE champion in any one of the sports activity at any international event is underlying VISION.
ACE is planning to identify youngsters to compete in track & field athletics, swimming, table tennis, badminton, tennis and soccer.
III. Mission
The Association is committed to providing competitive guidance, financial support, and information to youngsters from the lower strata of the society and their families .The association is in the process of forging tie-up with corporate organizations/NGo’s/and other individuals for providing financial assistance for ACE to identify, adopt and nurture younger talent from lower strata of society and build their careers by providing them training/guidance, financial assistance, sports infrastructure and education.
IV.Management
The Management of ACE association rests with group of passionate members like the President, Vice-President, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer combining to form the Office Bearers along with a Managing Committee, consisting of 9 members. We have elected the core group by an election process to ensure that each and every process of ACE is transparent.
